Biofuel Positive+ – Accurate field-test to show the presence or absence of biofuel in diesel.

Ethanol Positive+ – Accurate field-test to show the presence or absence of ethanol in gasoline.

Red Dye Positive+ – For those dark diesel fuel samples where you can’t tell if red dye is present.                    This field test will make it obvious.

Test Uses:

°DOT/ Revenue Staff – to test fuels in storage, distribution and vehicles which aids in fuel tax enforcement

°Distributors – provides confirmation of authenticity of fuels purchased and sold

-Determine if biodiesel or red dye is present in diesel fuel violating fuel tax laws

-Determine if ethanol is present in gasoline

°Individual Consumers – to confirm that they are buying a product as advertised

Positive test results can be quantified by the Heritage Laboratories upon sample submittal for an additional charge.

Ease of Use:

Just add your sample to the reaction vial and invert gently 5 times.

Just add your sample to the reaction vial and invert gently 5 times.

Just add your sample to the SPE tube provided.  Add a small amount of solvent to isolate the dye from the fuel.

Easy to Read:

Negative - If the top layer color is equal to or lighter than the original fuel sample, then 100% diesel.

Positive - If the top layer color is darker than the original fuel sample, then your sample contains biodiesel.

The darker the color the more biodiesel it contains.

Negative - If the bottom layer color stays an orange color or brown, then the sample contains no ethanol.

Positive - If the bottom layer turns green or blue, then your sample contains ethanol.  High concentrations will turn the entire sample blue.

*Note: Test must be read immediately.  All Samples eventually turn green.

- Fuels Testing

Heritage offers testing of fuels and oils to the manufacturing community, oil formulators and fuel marketers.  We also offer BQ9000 testing for Biodiesel manufacturers to maintain compliance.

Biofuel Testing

Providing the latest testing services to give you accurate and rapid analysis.  Many decisions are made in the production and marketing of biofuels based on laboratory data.

Heritage provides you accurate data to base your decisions.

B100 and ethanol producers as well as marketers of biodiesel and ethanol products want to assure quality to their customers. Heritage will give you strong data to support your decisions.

Heritage can quantify the amount of biofuel in diesel regardless of the source of biofuel.  This laboratory can also determine the amount of ethanol in gasoline and can also distinguish ethanol from butanol in gasoline.

Fuel Testing

Heritage is positioning itself to become a certified fuels testing laboratory.  Stay tuned for details that will provide specific testing capabilities as we enter this market.
